To highlight its Latin American launch, the company hosted a symposium in the Salon Gallaria Lobby at the Caesar Park Hotel, which attracted a strong gathering, including representatives of San Fernando (Peru), and visitors from Ecuador and Argentina, among others.
Mr. Bouke Hamminga, Pas Reform's business development manager and a well-respected figure with many years' experience working in the poultry sector in the region, welcomed over 25 delegates to the symposium, before handing over to the company's President, Bart Aangenendt.
The basis for developing this new 'Smart' technology is, explained Aangenendt, an advanced understanding of the biology of embryonic development, combined with the most up-to-date knowledge of genetics in modern breeds. Together, he continued, these factors drive the need for single stage incubation to achieve optimum results - in a future where the demands being placed on commercial poultry producers are ever-greater.
Mr. Bouke Hamminga then returned to describe the key features of Pas reform's Smart products, including brief presentations to describe the SmartSet™ setter, the SmartHatch™ hatcher, the SmartDrive™ incubation control system and the SmartCenter™ central information system.
Hamminga expanded on how the Smart incubation system has been engineered to meet the three key challenges facing commercial hatcheries in coming years: genetic progress, uniformity and post-hatch performance.
Ms. Lotte van de Ven, project manager of the Pas Reform Academy, then addressed delegates to expand further on how, in combination with deployment of single-stage incubation technology, best practice in hatchery management becomes indispensable as a route to achieving maximum improvements in day old chick uniformity.
Throughout the three day event, Pas Reform welcomed many guests, including Mr. Pablo Anhalzer, currently installing the second Pas Reform project in Ecuador, to its distinctive stand to meet the company's team of specialists and to preview the Smart product range. Pas Reform is, says Bart Aangenendt, delighted by the enthusiastic response both to the company and to Smart during the event. Pas Reform greatly looks forward to further establishing its presence in Latin America in the future.
