Royal Pas Reform supports major expansion plan by India’s Sneha Farms

Hyderabad-based Sneha Farms has chosen Royal Pas Reform as its partner for its new hatchery project. The new facility, due to be completed in June 2026, will have a production capacity of 97 million day-old chicks per year.

Pivotal to these expansion plans is Sneha’s commitment to supplying high-quality broiler chicks, produced in a single-stage incubation process – which yields superior post-hatch performance in terms of growth, mortality and feed conversions.

Advanced incubation and automation technologies

The hatchery will be fitted with 54 x SmartSetPro™-6 setters, each with a capacity of 122,400 eggs, and 72 x SmartHatchPro™ hatchers. It will incorporate both Adaptive Metabolic Feedback™ (AMF™), to fine-tune incubation environments to the needs of growing embryos, and Energy Saving Modules™ (ESM™) to reduce energy consumption. A SmartCenterPro™ hatchery information system will monitor and record every incubation cycle.

The state-of-the-art installation will also feature hatchery automation and climate control, including SmartControl™ sensor technology – to ensure the reliable central monitoring and automatic control of air temperature, air pressure, CO2 and humidity in any hatchery room.

A long-standing partnership built on innovation

Sneha Farms is part of the Sneha Group, which is a household name and a benchmark for poultry processing in India – serving primarily the Telugu speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It has earned a reputation for innovation and quality, with activities including broiler breeding, hatching eggs, commercial broiler, quality feed production, further processing and a market leading retail brand. The Group is also involved in a range of other verticals, including poultry and fish feed, premixes, eggs, solvent extraction & refining of edible oils.

Sneha Farms can trace its origins to 1982 – when ‘Ram Reddy Chicken Market’ was founded by the Group’s current Managing Director, Mr Dendi Ram Reddy. Based in Telangana, the company gradually became a diversified conglomerate and has become known for the consistency of product quality – thanks to the excellent backward and forward integration with its parent farms, hatcheries, feed mills, broiler farms, layer farms, and its world-class processing facilities.

Sneha first started working with Royal Pas Reform in 2010, when the original Hyderabad hatchery was recognised as a prestigious new project in Southern India. Mr. Reddy says: “Our Group’s ambition is to play a major role in the future growth of the Indian poultry industry. During the course of 2024 we worked on long-term strategic planning with our senior management team, which identified the need for this multiple location expansion in our hatchery operations. It was a logical step for us to go with Royal Pas Reform again.”

Natarajan Venkitakrishnan, Royal Pas Reform’s Sales director India, comments: “Royal Pas Reform is delighted to be continuing its partnership with Sneha Farms. We have been active for decades in India, providing R&D, engineering, service and training capabilities from our regional sales and service centre in Tamil Nadu.

“For us, this is a next step in our growth plans for the entire Indian sub-continent. I am sure that with our integrated hatchery solutions, we can prove to be a leading partner across the entire Indian subcontinent for decades to come.”
