Pas Reform Academy recently welcomed hatchery professionals from across Latin America to El Salvador for an intensive Hatchery Training programme designed to enhance incubation performance and day-old chick quality.
The multi-day training brought together participants from Chile, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and El Salvador. Designed to combine theory with practice, the programme featured interactive presentations, case studies and hands-on sessions at the state-of-the-art hatchery of Avícola Campestre.
The practical sessions enabled participants to observe and discuss every stage of the incubation process. The first hatchery visit focused on setter management and transfer procedures, while the second covered hatch management, chick handling and chick quality assessment - one of the most important performance indicators in every hatchery.
"High-quality day-old chicks form the foundation for successful broiler and layer production," says Gerd de Lange, senior poultry specialist at Royal Pas Reform. "By combining technical knowledge with practical experience and peer-to-peer discussion, participants gain valuable insights they can immediately apply in their own hatcheries."
Beyond the technical programme, the training also provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange between hatchery professionals from different countries. Participants exchanged experiences, discussed operational challenges and learned from each other's best practices, creating a highly interactive and collaborative learning environment.
The Pas Reform Academy supports hatchery managers, technicians and operators worldwide with training programmes that combine the latest incubation knowledge with practical application. Through its global Academy programme, Royal Pas Reform continues to support customers in optimising hatchery performance, improving chick quality and contributing to more sustainable and profitable poultry production.
