Royal Pas Reform proudly announces the successful completion of a major hatchery expansion project for long-standing customer ZWD Białobrzegi, one of Poland’s leading family-owned poultry companies. Completed in 2025 the new facility represents a significant investment in the company’s future, expanding its production capabilities while further strengthening quality, efficiency and sustainability.
Founded more than 30 years ago, ZWD Białobrzegi has built a strong reputation in the Polish poultry industry under the leadership of the Pankowska family. Today, the third generation continues that legacy, with Aneta Goch driving the company’s ongoing focus on innovation and long-term growth.
To support its expansion plans, ZWD transformed an adjacent building, formerly used for carbonated beverage production, into a fully modernized hatchery. The building was completely reconstructured to meet the stringent technical, operational and biosecurity requirements of modern hatchery operations.
Royal Pas Reform worked closely with project partner Jarmax, responsible for the incubator installation and HVAC engineering, to deliver a facility designed for maximum operational efficiency, reliability and chick quality.
The hatchery is equipped with 12 SmartSetPro™ setters and 12 SmartHatchPro™ hatchers, complemented by two SmartSense™ trolleys for continuous eggshell temperature monitoring and egg weighing. As the first SmartSense installation in Poland, the system provides ZWD with advanced, data-driven insights that enable further optimization of incubation performance. Through a SmartCare™ service agreement, the company also benefits from ongoing technical support and incubation consultancy from Royal Pas Reform specialists.
The investment has already generated measurable improvements. Hatchability has increased, chick quality has further improved and the new hatchery operates with substantially greater energy efficiency than the previous facility. Advanced heat recovery systems for both water and air significantly reduce energy consumption while contributing to lower operational costs.
To ensure precise environmental control throughout incubation, the hatchery incorporates ultrasonic humidification technology with intelligent software-controlled monitoring before and after the air handling unit, as well as within the plenum. This creates a highly stable incubation climate, supporting optimal embryo development.
Another important contributor to hatchery performance is the reliable supply of high-quality hatching eggs, mostly sourced predominantly from ZWD's own parent stock farm. Combined with modern production systems and strict biosecurity protocols, this enables the company to maintain consistently high quality throughout the production chain.
