The new hatchery, which will be located in Belgorod region, at the heart of Russia’s poultry industry, will incorporate SmartPro™ single stage incubation technologies, climate control and hatchery automation systems from Pas Reform.
Pas Reform Russia’s account manager, Nadezhda Sopova, has worked closely with Belyanka’s senior team to develop plans for the new hatchery. She says: “With quality and uniformity of key importance to Belyanka, their new SmartPro™ incubation system will include Adaptive Metabolic Feedback, or AMF™, which continually fine-tunes the incubator environment, actively controlling ventilation according to the actual needs of the growing embryos.
“SmartPro™’s Energy Saving Module has also been included, to reduce the hatchery’s energy use and SmartWatch™ will control humidity and CO2 in the hatcher, to optimize the hatch window.”
Pas Reform will fully project manage the development of the new integrated facility, with a programme of hatchery management training also being provided by Pas Reform Academy for Belyanka personnel.
LetoGroup is a large agro complex that distributes food products across the central part of the Russian Federation. The Group includes distribution companies, a wide logistics network and production sites that operate across different fields of agriculture. The Group’s main activity is the direct-to-retail distribution of eggs and meat, with eggs being sold under the trademark “Leto”, a very popular brand that is well-known for its high quality.
Belyanka’s CEO Alexey Zelenkov concludes: “With more than 20 years’ experience of distributing eggs in Russia, our customers rely upon quality and service from the Leto brand - and we aim to keep the bar that high.
“For that reason, our selection process for the new hatchery was very rigorous and, since meeting Pas Reform at Eurotier last year, we have watched them very closely. We are greatly impressed by their knowledge and capabilities.”
